Saison

Our interpretation of this Southern-Belgian farmhouse ale employs a long-grain bill and the addition of freshly-ground black pepper to the Brew Kettle. We use the versatile Ardennes yeast from Belgium, adding notes of bubblegum, banana and cloves to this Saison’s sturdy malt backbone.

  • root vegetables, resinous herbs (rosemary, marjoram, thyme)
  • mussels, beef, venison (Farmhand is great for braising)
  • walnuts, pecans, cheeses such as Trappist, Livarot, or Comte

A traditional Belgian-style saison originally produced on the farm for seasonal workers during harvest. Tart malt is balanced with flavours of fruit and spice from our unique strain of Belgian yeast.
